Why does the SodaStream DUO™ Sparkling Water Maker come with a different type of cylinder?

The new Quick Connect handle system, which is used in our SodaStream DUO™ Sparkling Water Maker, offers a new and effortless way to insert and remove your gas cylinder without the need to screw it into the Sparkling Water Maker. You no longer need to check if the cylinder has been tightened enough or too much.

Sparkle Note: The SodaStream DUO™ is not compatible with the screw-in cylinders.
