SodaStream x Outback BBQ Dream Setup Competition – Terms & Conditions

No purchase necessary. This Contest (the “Contest”) is intended for viewing and participation in the UK only and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the UK. Please do not proceed if you are not a legal resident of UK at time of entry or not eligible to participate in the Content according to Section 2 below.

1. Promoter Details

This promotion is run by SodaStream Worldwide B.V. through its branch trading in the United Kingdom under SodaStream Worldwide Trading Company in collaboration with Outback International UK Ltd (collectively, the “Promoters”).

2. Eligibility

  • Open to mainland UK residents aged 18 and over only.

  • This Contest is not open to officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents of the Promoters, their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and if applicable, their advertising or promotion agencies, contest judges, contest prize suppliers, any other companies engaged in the development, production, or distribution of materials for this Contest (collectively the “Contest Entities”), and members of their immediate families (regardless of where they live), or persons domiciled with them (whether related or not). In these Terms & Conditions, “immediate family” means parents, children, siblings and spouse

  • Instagram account must be public for entry validation.

3. How to Enter

To enter:

  • Follow @Sodastreamgb and @OutbackBBQs on Instagram

  • Comment on the collaborative Contest post with your dream BBQ setup

Purchase of any product sold by the Promoters is not required and does not enhance a person’s chance of winning. Internet access and a valid Instagram account are required

4. Opening & Closing Dates

  • The Contest opens at 9:00am (BST) on 30 May 2025

  • The Contest closes at 11:59 PM (BST) on 6 June 2025

  • Entries received after this time will not be counted.

  • Please note that the opening and closing times are subject to the Promoters amendments at their sole discretion by updating these Terms & Conditions.


5. Winner Selection

  • One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries within 7 days of the Contest closing.


  • The winner will be contacted via Instagram DM from @Sodastreamgb

6. Prize

  • The prize includes:

  • The Promoters reserve the right to substitute the advertised Outback BBQ prize with an alternative product or accessory of equal value, in the event that the original prize becomes unavailable. All prizes are subject to availability

  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is offered


7. Claiming the Prize

  • The winner must respond within 72 hours of being contacted. The response must include contact details required to fulfill the prize, including but not limited to full name, a valid mainland UK address, email address and phone number. If requested by the Promoters, the winner should also provide a proof of residence.

  • If the winner is found to be ineligible, declines to accept a prize, cannot be located or does not respond and comply with the above requirements within the above timeframe, the Promoters reserve the right to disqualify the original winner and to select, by random, a new winner, who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner. The original winner shall have no claim against the Promoters for such selection.

  • The prize will be delivered to the winner’s address as provided above. Delivery of the prize will not be made to PO Box addresses. No responsibility is assumed by the Promoters for any postal mail or courier delivery returned as undeliverable without a forwarding address. No responsibility is assumed by the Promoters for the prize after delivery. The winner bears all risk of loss or damages to the prize after delivery. The Promoters will bear the cost of delivery, but all other costs associated with the taking and use of the prize (including taxes, etc.) is the responsibility of the winner.

  • Please note, the SodaStream and Outback prizes will be dispatched separately and will arrive in different deliveries


8. Content and Conduct

  • Comments must be suitable for public viewing and not contain any offensive, inappropriate or misleading content.

  • Entrants must not use multiple accounts to enter; doing so will result in disqualification

9. Publicity

  • By entering, entrants agree that their name and entry may be used by the Promoters for promotional purposes on social media and other marketing channels

10. Data Protection

  • Any and all personal data provided by you in connection with this Promotion will be used solely by the Promoters (or its appointed agents) to: assist with running the Promotion; and/or conduct analytics to improve the Promoter’s promotions, products or services. The Promoter (or its appointed agents) will not contact you for reasons other than this Promotion unless you have provided your express consent. 11. General

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.

  • The Promoters, acting reasonable, reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions, cancel, suspend or discontinue this Contest on reasonable notice.

  • To the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to any stipulations of such applicable law, the Promoters reserve the right to, at their sole discretion and without liability, amend, suspend or withdraw this Contest at any time, in whole or in part, if fraud, technical failures including any network server or hardware failure, viruses, bugs, errors in programming, or communications or any other errors or other causes beyond the control of the Promoters corrupt the administration, integrity or security of the Contest or if any other factor interferes with the conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Terms & Conditions. The Promoters may do so, without notice, except as required by law. In the event of early termination of the Contest, a notice will be posted online and a random drawing to award the prize will be conducted from among all eligible entries received prior to the time of termination. 

  • By entering, participants (i) acknowledge compliance with these Terms & Conditions including all eligibility requirements and, (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the Promoters, made in their sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest, without right of appeal, including without limitation eligibility, validity, contents, and/or disqualification of an entry. Participants who have not complied with these Terms & Conditions are subject to disqualification. 

  • Any attempt by a participant or other individual, to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Promoters reserve the right to seek remedies and damages from any such individual, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Participants engaging in any of these activities may be disqualified and will forfeit the prize won.

  • All data collected in connection with the Contest and all entries is owned and becomes the property of the Promoters and will not be returned. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified. 

  • If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the Instagram account used at time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned by Instagram to the Instagram account.

  • The winner assumes liability for injuries caused by or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, by the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize awarded, including but not limited to claims/damages for personal injury, or property damage. Moreover, as a condition of entering, entrants (or their parent or legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree: (a) to release the Promoters, and each of their officers, directors, employees and agents, from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to participating in the Contest or the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of the prize, (b) that under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim for all such damages; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding legal fees and court costs. This exclusion or limitation of liability will not apply to the extent that any applicable statue prohibits such exclusion or limitation of liability. 

  • The Promoters are not responsible for any problems that may arise, including but not limited to; (a) lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet Service Providers, Web sites, or other connection, availability or accessibility problems arising in connection with or over the course of the Contest; or (b) communications failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions or hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or (c) failure of personal computers and/or software and hardware configurations, any technical malfunctions, failures, or difficulties, printing errors, clerical, typographical or other error in the offering or announcement of the prize; or (d) for any other errors of any kind relating to or in connection with the Contest, whether human, mechanical, clerical, electronic, or technical in nature; or (e) the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information in connection with the Contest; or (f) damage to a user's system occasioned by participation in this Contest or downloading any information necessary to participate in this Contest.

12. Governing Law

  • The promotion is subject to the laws of England and Wales. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms & Conditions, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Promoters in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of England and Wales, without regard to the UK conflicts of law principles. All participants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of London, United Kingdom, and any courts which have the jurisdiction to hear appeals from them.

13. Conflicts/Discrepancies

  • In the event of a conflict between any Contest details contained in these Terms & Conditions and any Contest details contained in Contest advertising materials, the details of the Contest as set forth in these Terms & Conditions shall prevail.

14. Invalidity

  • The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms & Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Terms & Conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
