Which Sodastream should I buy as a gift?

That really depends on who you’re buying it for, your budget, and whether you share the same address (we’ll come on to why later!)

Sodastreams are an amazing gift for anyone in your life who loves fizzy drinks – whether they’re still slogging bottles of sparkling water back from the shops, or if they can’t go without their daily Pepsi MAX fix – it will truly be a game changer for them! Our sparkling water makers are designed to last years (the warranty is 2 years, but we know many customers have theirs for decades!). They are commonly bought as birthday, Christmas, anniversary, wedding, engagement and house-warming gifts, or just to say thank you or congratulations!

All of our soda makers can be bought as a Starter, Extra or Mega bundle. Each includes the machine and everything they’ll need to start fizzing (a carbonating bottle where applicable, CO2 cylinder and syrup). However as you are buying as a gift, we recommend buying a Starter bundle (which includes the machine + 1L bottle (excluding ULTIMATE), 1x CO2 cylinder and a bottle of Pepsi Max syrup). 

We recommend the Starter bundle because it does not include any exchange CO2 cylinders – these are cylinders which are lent to the purchaser and must be exchanged via sodastream.co.uk for a new cylinder to avoid any Missing Cylinder Charges (link when blog live) if not returned. As you are the purchaser of the bundle, it is therefore your responsibility to ensure these cylinders are returned within their returns window, otherwise a £10 Missing Cylinder Charge will be charged to your card, as the original payment method. Buying a starter bundle is a safer reason as it means you won’t incur any further charges (as this bundle doesn’t include any exchange cylinders). This also gives them the flexibility to choose how they would like to manage their CO2 usage – whether through a subscription (via their own payment details), online or in-store exchange. 

If you want to buy them a bigger present than simply the Starter bundle, we recommend adding a Fizz & Go bottle (this allows them to take their favourite fizzy drinks on the go!), or a selection of syrups. You could also add a few extra carbonating bottles (excluding the ULTIMATE) to give them maximum flexibility when it comes to making their favourite fizzy drinks!

Our best value machine is the TERRA (depending on current promotion), followed by the ART – check our latest promotions here. These are both available in black and white. Both machines have the same functionality, the only difference is the ART has a more premium finish and a carbonating lever rather than a button. Both work the same method: fill the bottle with tap water to the first line, fizz to your desired carbonation, then add syrup the second line (or more/less to your taste). 

If you’re shopping for someone who loves experimenting, or wants to fizz other liquids such as wine, flat drinks, tea, coffee or juice, they need our MIX machine – this is our only model that lets you fizz more than just water.
